Geranium phaeum Album
Notable for its unique flowers, Geranium phaeum Album (White Dusky Cranesbill) is a stunning addition to any garden. This pure white variety boasts upright flower spikes with rear facing petals, showcasing the flower center against a carpet of attractive, pale green foliage.
The Geraniums in the phaeum species are particularly useful in the garden for their early blooming period from April to May, with the potential for a second flowering later in the summer. They are also versatile, thriving in full shade to full sun and adapting well to various soil types, including clay, loam, sandy, and chalky soils.

Why Choose Geraniums?
Geraniums, also known as Crane's Bill, are a popular choice for gardeners due to their easy maintenance and wide range of varieties. Unlike Greenhouse Geraniums (officially Pelargoniums), hardy perennial Geraniums are suitable for outdoor planting.
The Genus of Geraniums is vast, with options ranging from small alpines to large perennials. These plants are adaptable to most conditions, except for very wet and boggy areas. They can thrive in full sun to semi-shade and typically bloom from spring to late summer. Their low growth habit makes them ideal for ground cover and perfect for the front of a border.
For vigorous varieties, trimming back after the first flowering can encourage regrowth and a second round of blooms. In winter, a good mulch will provide the necessary nutrients for the plant to flourish in the spring.
