Artemisia is a large genus of plants incorporating shrubs, perennials and annuals and they can be evergreen or deciduous. Most of the varieties we grow have varying uses in the garden and are grown for their foliage. The very silvery foliage is incredibly useful for showing off other more colourful plants creating a good backdrop from which the colours stand out. The scented foliage is another useful highlight and works well in high traffic areas. It is best to trim these vigorous plants regularly to maintain shape.
