Geranium phaeum Lisa

Introducing Geranium phaeum Lisa, also known as Dusky Cranesbill. This clump-forming perennial boasts pale green foliage with darker blotches, giving it a unique and attractive appearance. Its spreading habit makes it a great addition to any garden, with flowers hanging over on stems in the spring. What sets Lisa apart is its vivid yellow veining and speckling on the leaves, adding a pop of colour to your garden. Dark purple flowers bloom on stems in the spring, reaching a height of 65cm.

The Geraniums in the phaeum species are highly versatile and useful in the garden. They bloom early in the year and repeat flower later in the summer. They can thrive in full shade or full sun, making them suitable for any situation. Lisa is not picky when it comes to soil type, as long as it has good drainage. This includes clay, loam, sandy, and chalky soils. The flowering heights vary, but they typically range from 70cm to 1m.

Geraniums refer to two types of plants in general gardening: Greenhouse Geraniums (officially Pelargoniums) and hardy perennial Geraniums, also known as Crane's Bill. Geranium phaeum Lisa falls into the latter category. These plants are easy to grow and make a great addition to any garden border. The genus is vast, ranging from small alpines to large perennials.

Hardy perennial Geraniums are generally happy in most conditions, except for very wet and bog
