This wonderfully elegant shrub is from the plicatum species of Viburnum, this species is notable for its tiering branches and spring flowers.

The flowers spring up after the lovely lime green, serrated leaves open, and are white lace cap flowers similar to that of the lace cap Hydrangeas.

 

In autumn the foliage has good colour and ranges through, yellow, orange and red.
