An unusual form of the traditional Periwinkle, Vinca herbacea is a clump forming perennial that adds a unique touch to any garden. Unlike its long-stemmed and rooting counterpart, this herbaceous Vinca has long, reaching shoots that ramble around the border and produce classic Periwinkle flowers in late summer. In autumn, the plant dies back to its clump and remains herbaceous throughout winter. Native to Eastern Europe, it thrives in Steppe habitats and can easily reach a height of 30cm and a spread of 1m. Its light green foliage and pale blue/purple flowers make it a beautiful addition to any garden.
